The Key to Finding YOU
How dhikr helps you find your truest self.
﷽
Finding who we’re meant to be often feels like we’re searching for treasure.
Allah ﷻ has hidden our potential deep within us to protect it so we won’t trade it for the corruption and empty promises of the dunya.
It’s not buried away to be lost but safeguarded until we choose to find it for ourselves. And because He is the One who concealed it, we can’t find it without His guidance.
The Quran is the map He sent to lead us to the best version of ourselves.
Allah ﷻ tells us:
“So remember Me; I will remember you.”
“And do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves.”
To forget yourself is to forget your purpose.
To forget you matter.
To forget your fitrah.
If you really want to discover who you are and reach your highest potential, you have to first seek Allah ﷻ.
When you choose Him, like He’s chosen you, you begin to understand yourself.
To know Allah ﷻ is to know yourself.
To remember Allah ﷻ is to remember you at your very core.
When you waste your potential chasing this dunya and its illusions, you are unintentionally denying one of Allah’s greatest blessings.
Your dream self.
The version of you who pleases Allah ﷻ most.
He asks us repeatedly:
“Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?”
Allah ﷻ dislikes wastefulness, and yet we waste our best efforts and the best parts of ourselves because of fear, doubt, or neglect.
But “indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.” (9:120)
“Is there any reward for goodness except goodness?”
Your efforts in seeking your potential and striving to please Allah ﷻ will never be in vain.
Allah ﷻ created us to worship Him, and in sincere worship, we find what makes us truly special.
True worship is obedience and devotion that purifies the heart and reveals who you’re meant to be.
Through obedience, you gain the strength and courage to pursue your potential, and through sincere worship, you align yourself with His guidance, bringing you closer to realizing the greatness hidden within you.
The more you remember Allah ﷻ, the more you remember Jannah and that time is not yours to waste.
Your time will eventually run out, so while you have it, choose to hunt for the treasure within you, using the Quran as your map and dhikr as your compass.
In actively seeking Allah ﷻ, you will find yourself.
With love and dua,
